2nd Paris Workshop on Molecular and Statistical Genomic Epidemiology

Molecular tools for the analysis of genetic and phenotypic information have evolved dramatically in recent years. Inclusion of these technologies into epidemiological scale studies allows the rapid identification of genetic factors underlying multifactorial disease. This workshop discusses progress in technological developments for DNA, RNA, protein and metabolite analysis. Solutions for the accumulation, handling and interpretation of huge data sets are crucial as well as using this data for the understanding of networks. Examples of the application these technologies for epidemiological scale studies in different common complex diseases will be given.

The purpose of this workshop is to introduce researchers to new methodologies that underpin these studies, particularly in the context of on-going research funded by the EU.
